About me My Name is Matthias L. and I am 28 Years old. I moved from Germany to Canada 7 years ago. Visual FX Experience/Interests I was initially exposed to the Visual FX industry through volunteering at a filmmaker’s cooperative, where I learned about digital Camera operation, Lighting, Editing, and other aspects of filmmaking. In particular, seeing how computers are used to create Visual Effects caught my attention in a big way. The opportunity to work with LightWave presented me with a chance to explore the possibilities and I was immediately hooked for life. I devoted all my time to learning industry techniques through every tutorial I could get my hands on. After I exhausted those resources, and reached the potential I could at the local film cooperative, I then turned to the Vancouver Film School to broaden my horizons.
